Common Core State Standards and the Educational Reforms of the 1990s: Similar Contexts

Resumo: The objective of this work was to understand the BNCC as a curriculum standardization policy immersed in contexts similar to the National Curricular Parameters (PCNs), proposed in the course of the Educational Reforms of the 1990s. For that, the methodological path was based on a critical dialectical perspective, establishing a dialogue between the historical, economic and and educational policy of the present and of the aforementioned historical moment. The results indicate that there is a similarity between curriculum standardization in the context of the Reforms of the last decade of the 20th century and the BNCC. Despite the particularities of the Base, the same neoliberal dogmas that based the PCNs and their alignment with standardized tests and economism in education

Para ello, el camino metodológico se basó en una perspectiva dialéctica crítica, estableciendo un diálogo entre lo histórico, lo económico y lo social. y política educativa del presente y del citado momento histórico. Los resultados indican que existe similitud entre la normalización curricular en el contexto de las Reformas de la última década del siglo XX y la BNCC. A pesar de las particularidades de la Base, los mismos dogmas neoliberales que fundamentaron los PCN y su alineamiento con las pruebas estandarizadas y el economicismo en la educaciónO objetivo deste trabalho foi de compreender a BNCC como uma política de padronização curricular imersa a contextos similares aos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCNs), proposto no curso das Reformas Educacionais da década de 1990. Para tanto, o caminho metodológico se pautou em uma perspectiva crítico dialética, estabelecendo um diálogo entre os pontos de vista histórico, econômico e político educacional da atualidade e do momento histórico supracitado. Os resultados indicam que há uma similaridade entre a padronização curricular no contexto das Reformas do último decênio do século XX e a BNCC.
