A implementação da Educopédia no Ginásio Experimental Carioca: estudo de caso de uma proposta da Secretaria Municipal de Educação do Rio de Janeiro

Considering the urgent need to think over the interlink between education and digital technologies in face of the constant presence of these in everyday life of people in the contemporary society, this work, which is a qualitative one, consists of a case study that was aimed at investigating the implementation of the platform Educopédia at a school in the city of Rio de Janeiro, that is part of the project Ginásio Experimental Carioca. The study, which was conducted from 2011 to 2013, based on Mikhail Bakhtin s theoretical-methodological assumptions, that points out, amongst others, dialogism and alterity as guidelines for investigative action. Furthermore, the conception of youth(s) of Paulo Carrano and Juarez Dayrell helped me in the relationship with young people in the field, as well as the studies of cyberculture, referenced soon afterwards. As research procedure, observations were made of teaching practices that use Educopédia; conversations with students, teachers and the educational coordinator of their school community and also analysis of the methodology proposed by the platform. The treatment of the research material was based on dialogue with authors from the field of Communication (André Lemos, Lucia Santaella, Pierre Lévy, among others) and the field that intersects Education and Communication (Edméa Santos, Nelson Pretto, Marco Silva, among others). The analysis of this material showed, amongst other considerations, the inadequacy of the platform to incorporate the principles of cyberculture in its own structure; the adoption, by SME/RJ, of a proposal of methodology that doesn´t take in consideration the historical context in which the subjects are inserted, as well as the need for technological artifacts to be incorporated by the school itself not as instruments but as part of the culture. It is intended that this study, which is included in the area of Human Sciences and Education, contributes to provide clues for thinking about the interface between the cybercultural practices of contemporary subjects and the school ones
