Resumo: The present work aims at analyzing Ana Miranda 's novel The Portrait of the King, through three main axes: the metafictional construction of its plot, the use of metapictural references in the narrative context and the possibility of re-signification of the topics covered, multiplying their meanings and broadering its senses. This line of textual production allows the description of images and events (officially registered or merely fictionalized) from the creative conception of the author, produce a perceptive stimulus in the reader, generating criticism and reflections on reality and providing the problematization of past events. In general terms, this construction constitutes a bridge, dialoguing with different disciplines, producing numerous references, inciting the imagination and raising subjectivities, expanding into new areas, occupying spaces, transposing concepts, incorporating interdisciplinary knowledge. In this way, we will try to discuss how, through this multifaceted construction, the king's portrait allows the reader to open himself to the multiplicity of meanings and meanings, developing his interpretative possibilities.

Esta linha de produção textual propicia que a descrição de imagens e acontecimentos (oficialmente registrados ou meramente ficcionalizados) a partir da concepção criativa do autor, produza um estímulo perceptivo no leitor, gerando críticas e reflexões sobre a realidade e proporcionando a problematização de eventos passados. Em termos gerais, esta construção constitui-se como uma ponte, dialogando com diferentes disciplinas, produzindo inúmeras referências, incitando a imaginação e suscitando subjetividades, expandindo-se por novas áreas, ocupando espaços, transpondo conceitos, incorporando conhecimentos interdisciplinares.
