Experiments with soil morphological characteristics as a didactic resource for soil teaching

Resumo: | Soil is a finite natural resource that provides important ecosystem services for societies, such as food production and water purification. Formed by minerals, organic matter, water and air. It is fundamental for the maintenance of terrestrial ecosystems. Due to its importance, soil education should provide a theoretical and practical basis that allows the student to understand its origin processes, functions and properties, seeking to promote environmental awareness about the importance of soil conservation for present and future generations. Experiments with soil morphological characteristics show themselves as important didactic resource for teaching soil in Basic Education. In view of the above, this article report the development of activities with students from graduation in Geography in distance learning in a workshop realized during the I Simpósio Integrado em EaD do Cariri Paraibano. The aim of this article, is to promote an experimentation with soils like didatics resources on the elementary and high school. The results showed that the experiments are effective for teaching soil, in view that they allowed the understanding of different attributes of soil morphology. Thus, the tests proved as facilitators in learning of the morphology and dynamic of soil, at the same time that they allowed to unite theory and practice. |

Formado por minerales, materia orgánica, agua y aire. Es fundamental para el mantenimiento de los ecosistemas terrestres. Debido a su importancia, la educación sobre el suelo debe proporcionar una base teórica y práctica que permita al estudiante comprender sus procesos, funciones y propiedades, buscando promover la conciencia ambiental sobre la importancia de la conservación del suelo para las generaciones presentes y futuras. Los experimentos con características morfológicas del suelo se muestran como un recurso didáctico importante para la enseñanza del suelo en la Educación Básica. Dado lo anterior, este artículo informa sobre el desarrollo de actividades con estudiantes de pregrado en Geografía en la modalidad de educación a distancia en un taller realizado durante el I Simpósio Integrado em EaD do Cariri Paraibano. El objetivo era promover la experimentación con los suelos como recurso de enseñanza en la escuela primaria y secundaria. Los resultados mostraron que los experimentos son efectivos para la enseñanza del suelo, ya que permitieron la comprensión de diferentes atributos de la morfología del suelo. Por lo tanto, los ensayos desarrollados demostraron ser facilitadores en el aprendizaje de la morfología y dinámica del suelo, al mismo tiempo que permitieron unir teoría y práctica.O solo é recurso natural finito que presta importantes serviços ecossistêmicos para as sociedades, como a produção de alimento e purificação da água. É formado por minerais, matéria orgânica, água e ar. Fundamental para a manutenção dos ecossistemas terrestres. Devido a sua importância, o ensino do solo deve fornecer uma base teórica e prática que permita ao educando compreender seus processos de origem, funções e propriedades, buscando promover uma conscientização ambiental acerca da importância da conservação do solo para gerações presentes e futuras. Experimentos com as características morfológicas do solo se mostram como importante recurso didático para o ensino do solo na Educação Básica. Diante do exposto, o presente artigo relata o desenvolvimento de atividades com alunos de licenciatura em Geografia da modalidade EaD em uma oficina realizada durante o I Simpósio Integrado em EaD do Cariri Paraibano. Objetivou-se assim, promover a experimentação com solos como recurso didático no ensino Fundamental e Médio. Os resultados evidenciaram que os experimentos são efetivos para o ensino do solo, pois permitiram a compreensão de diferentes atributos da morfologia do solo. Dessa forma, os ensaios desenvolvidos se mostraram facilitadores na aprendizagem da morfologia e dinâmica do solo, ao mesmo tempo em que permitiram unir teoria e prática.
