This work aims to investigate how the pedagogical practices for the teaching of geography are constituted. Reflecting how these practices happen for the development of the teaching of Geography, facing the relationship teacher and student and the challenges for teaching and learning in fact happen. In this way, a bibliographical research was carried out, trying to emphasize these practices for the teaching of geography, as well as the need to better understand the teaching-learning process. In this way we tried to understand the importance of the practices in the academy, school and the constitution of the teaching of Geography. The PIBID program (Institutional Scholarship Program) was one of the programs that gave opportunities to know, develop and apply these practices, confronting theory and pedagogical doing. It is concluded that the process of teaching and learning must be contained in the planning process, so that it can develop the importance of progressing in front of the everyday challenges of the classroom.
