Resumo: This article is part of the set of studies that aim at the meeting between geographic science and cinematographic production. In the form of an analytical film essay, the text aims to discuss the social and territorial conflicts of contemporary Brazil and the way in which these are represented in the films Neighboring Sounds, Aquarius and Bacurau, of the filmmaker Kleber Mendonça Filho. The film analysis methodology explores the qualitative elements of the movies according to the understanding of the socio-historical-geographical and symbolic analysis and interpretation of the films. From this analysis it is concluded that the films comprise an authorial unit in which the territory is central to the theme.

Em forma de ensaio analítico de obras fílmicas, o texto visa discutir os conflitos sociais e territoriais do Brasil contemporâneo e a forma como estes são representados nos filmes O Som ao Redor, Aquarius e Bacurau, do cineasta Kleber Mendonça Filho. A metodologia de análise fílmica explora os elementos qualitativos das películas à luz da análise e da interpretação sócio-histórico-geográfica e simbólica das obras.
