Resumo: | ABSTRACT - Contemporary constructions in curricula seek the performance of an educational process that presents a correspondence between scientific production and the educational practices used in work and life of teachers and students in our processes of teaching and learning activities. In this case, regarding the philosophy and history of biology, it is essential that the didactic transpositions performed respect the underlying historical development as well as the philosophical questions raised by science. Likewise, they should be part of a scientific education that contributes to the work and lives ofteachers ofstudents. Given these assumptions, this article discussessome reflections on the insertion of Philosophy and History of Science, in the Biology teaching, suggesting possibilities for building educational practices that may contribute to the processes of teaching and learning at different levels of education. |

Neste processo, no que tange à Filosofia e História da Biologia, é imprescindível que as transposições didáticas realizadas respeitem os pressupostos subjacentes ao desenvolvimento histórico assim como as questões filosóficas suscitadas pela ciência. Da mesma forma, devem constituir-se em propulsores de uma educação científica que contribua com o trabalho e a vida dos professores dos estudantes.
