Patentary Mapping on Aerospace Technologies of Brazilian Research Institutions and Companies

Resumo: | Technological innovation has great relevance in the aerospace industry, since its products involve technology at the frontier of knowledge, with very low levels of technological maturity and uncertainty about success; they become less attractive for the private sector. In this study, a patent mapping by activity was carried out in order to obtain the protected documents in Brazil related to aerospace technology, thus observing how these institutions are protecting their innovations and it was possible to use this information as a direct source of data. The main aerospace technologies obtained were: methods and systems (45%); and, cosmonautic vehicle, artificial satellites and vehicle parts (36%). Of the total documents found, 62% were deposited by Defense Interest Industries; and, 32% from Teaching and Research Institutions. In addition, it is concluded that the research of the Teaching and Research Institutions has a focus on research complementary to that of the Defense Interest Industries. |

Neste estudo, foi realizado um mapeamento patentário por atividade com o intuito de obter os documentos protegidos no Brasil relacionados à tecnologia aeroespacial, observando, assim, como essas instituições estão protegendo suas inovações, além disso, foi possível utilizar essas informações como fonte direta de dados. As principais tecnologias aeroespaciais obtidas foram: métodos e sistemas (45%); e veículo cosmonáutico, satélites artificiais e peças de veículos (36%). Do total de documentos encontrados, 62% foram depositados por Indústrias de Interesse da Defesa; e 32% de Instituições de Ensino e Pesquisa.
