São Bernardo do Campo, 2021.Neste trabalho, apresentamos um estudo sobre um engenho que gera a trajetória de um instrumento capaz de construir um "furo quadrado" a partir do movimento de rotação circular simples, o destaque é uma figura de largura constante (cuja largura é a mesma em qualquer direção considerada). A motivação deste estudo são duas formas geométricas planas de largura constante: a primeira é o Triângulo de Reuleaux, que é construído a partir de um triângulo equilátero, traçando arcos de circunferência que cobrem cada lado de um triângulo equilátero, centralizando-se no vértice oposto, e a segunda é uma das variações dos polígonos de Reuleaux. Trata-se de uma curva construída a partir de dois triângulos isósceles retângulos e a combinação de quatro arcos de três raios diferentes.In this work, we present a study about a contraption that generates the trajectory of a device capable of inducing a " square-shaped hole " from simple circular rotation motion, the highlight is a constant width figure (the width of which is the same in any direction considered). The motivation for this study is two flat geometric shapes of constant diameter: the first is the Reuleaux Triangle, which is constructed from an equilateral triangle, drawing circular arcs covering each side of an equilateral triangle, centering on the opposite vertex and the second is one of the variations of Reuleaux¿s polygons.
