The construction of the professional identity of the administrative technician in education: : narrative inquiry as a possibility for research

Resumo: | This article discusses the concept of identity articulated with the concept of work and proposes narrative inquiry as a method and phenomenon of investigation of the construction of administrative technicians’ professional identity in education. Participated in the study administrative technicians that work in the context of Vocational and Technological Education in a Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the southern region of Brazil. The instruments used to foster the act of telling stories were photographic image, narrative interview, and semi-structured interview. Narrative Inquiry, as a research method and phenomenon to be investigated, proved to be an important ally of the researcher in investigative process. It provided important discoveries regarding the identity construction of workers that have been scarcely academically studied in the educational context, thus, promoting advances in scientific knowledge on the research theme. |

Participaron en el estudio técnicos administrativos en educación que trabajan en el contexto de la EPT en un Instituto Federal de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología en la región sur de Brasil. Los instrumentos utilizados para provocar el acto de contar historias fueron imágenes fotográficas, entrevista narrativa y entrevista semiestructurada. La narrativa, como método y fenómeno de investigación, resultó ser un aliado importante del investigador en el proceso investigativo, trajo importantes descubrimientos sobre la construcción identitaria de trabajadores poco estudiados académicamente en el contexto educativo, por lo tanto, contribuyendo a promover avances en el conocimiento científico sobre el tema del estudio.O artigo discute acerca do conceito de identidade e sua articulação com o trabalho e propõe o método da pesquisa narrativa para investigar a respeito da identidade profissional dos técnicos-administrativos em educação. Participaram do estudo técnicos-administrativos em educação que trabalham no contexto da Educação Profissional e Tecnológica em um Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia da região sul do Brasil. Os instrumentos utilizados para provocar o ato de contar histórias foram a imagem fotográfica, a entrevista narrativa e a entrevista semiestruturada.
