Assédio moral em instituições de ensino superior: o caso dos Profissionais Técnicos da Educação Superior (PTES) da Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso (UNEMAT)

Resumo: This work is a study on bullying in higher education institutions, which has become an increasingly relevant subject of discussion as one of the predominant phenomena in educational organizations due to its consequences on the personal and professional life of the worker. It is a broad and complex phenomenon, with impacts of varying degrees according to each situation, generating numerous consequences, such as damage to the victim's health,evidencing its scope far beyond the relationship between harasser and harassed, and may take on greater dimensions affecting both the organization and society as a whole, which reverberates in the quality of life at work. In this sense, this research aims to investigate the degree of understanding of the Technical Professionals of Higher Education (PTES) of the University of the State of Mato Grosso (Unemat) regarding moral harassment. In the theoretical basis on moral harassment its origins and concepts are analyzed; characteristics, lines of harassment and consequences of practices. It is a descriptive research, with a qualitative and case study approach, using the Delphi Method for the analysis, from a study that has, as sample universe, 281 collaborators from Unemat, using an intentional non-probabilistic sample composed of 39 collaborators, from the application of an open questionnaire sent by e-mail. The results of the research indicate that there is a consensus regarding the perception of the concept of moral harassment in the work environment, but that there is a misunderstanding regarding the perception as to duration and frequency, as well as the recurrence in acts of harassment. In the face of this verification, we propose mechanisms to combat and prevent moral harassment practices in the state public sector.

In the face of this verification, we propose mechanisms to combat and prevent moral harassment practices in the state public sector.Este trabalho trata-se de um estudo sobre o assédio moral em instituições do ensino superior, o qual tem se tornado tema de discussões cada vez mais relevantes, além de ser compreendido como um dos fenômenos que mais predominam nas organizações educacionais, devido às suas consequências na vida pessoal e profissional do trabalhador. O assédio moral trata-se de um fenômeno amplo e complexo, com impactos de graus variados de acordo com cada situação, gerando inúmeras consequências, como por exemplo, prejuízos à saúde da vítima, evidenciando, sua abrangência muito além da relação entre assediador e assediado, podendo tomar maiores dimensões afetando, tanto a organização, quanto a sociedade como um todo, reverberando, com efeito, na qualidade de vida do trabalho. Nesse sentido, esta pesquisa tem, como objetivo, investigar a percepção de entendimento dos Profissionais Técnicos da Educação Superior (PTES), da Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso – Professor Carlos Alberto Reyes Maldonado (Unemat) a respeito do assédio moral. Na fundamentação teórica sobre o assédio moral, são analisadas suas origens e conceitos; características, linhas de assédio e consequências dessas práticas. Trata-se, pois, de uma pesquisa descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa e de estudo de caso, utilizando o Método de Delphi à análise, a partir de um estudo que tem, como universo amostral, 281 colaboradores da Unemat, utilizando uma amostra intencional não probabilística composta por 39 colaboradores, a partir da aplicação de um questionário aberto enviado por e-mail. Os resultados da pesquisa apontam que há um consenso em relação à percepção do conceito de assédio moral no ambiente de trabalho, mas que há um equívoco no que se refere à percepção quanto ao tempo de duração e frequência, assim como a recorrência nos atos de assédio.
