Literacy in a digital environment in the perspective of Connectivism: a teaching proposal

Resumo: The pandemic time brought the need to create possibilities to continue pedagogical activities. The Emergency Remote Teaching (ERT) established the use of different digital technologies in our society today. The motivation of this study, therefore, is to propose and analyze a teaching proposal in the light of theories that seek to explain learning in a digital context, in this case, Digital Age Literacies (ROBIN, 2008) and Connectivism (DOWNES, 2012), thinking about an ERT context in the Portuguese Language subject. Thus, the research question is: How is it possible to produce a didactic proposal for the Portuguese language class based on Digital Age Literacies and Connectivism? The methodology applied in this work is based on an interpretative qualitative approach, analyzing a didactic unit based on criteria of connectivism (autonomy, diversity, openness, and interactivity) and and Digital Age Literacies (digital literacy, global literacy, technology literacy, visual literacy, and information). Therefore, this article demonstrates the importance of analyzing the literate practices carried out during the ERT to understand how digital technologies were used during that period, considering that learning today also occurs in these technologies.

A motivação deste estudo, portanto, é propor e analisar uma unidade didática, à luz de teorias que procuram explicar a aprendizagem em um contexto digital, no caso, os Letramentos da era digital (ROBIN, 2008) e o Conectivismo (DOWNES,2012), pensando em um contexto de ERE na disciplina de Língua Portuguesa. Tem-se, assim, como pergunta de pesquisa: como é possível produzir uma proposta didática para a aula de Língua Portuguesa pautada nos Letramentos da era digital e no Conectivismo? A metodologia aplicada neste trabalho é de abordagem qualitativa interpretativista, com foco na análise de uma unidade didática a partir de critérios do Conectivismo (autonomia, diversidade, abertura e interatividade) e dos Letramentos da era digital (letramento digital, letramento global, letramento em tecnologia, letramento visual e letramento de informação).
