Resumo: | The research group Human Development and Education - Grudhe - focuses on the development of children in kindergarten and inthe first years of elementary school. Based on a socio-historical framework, we seek to study how children learn concepts from theirdaily interactions at school. Our studies began in 2009, with research on the development of temporal concepts in kindergarten thatincluded an intervention program with teachers and children (2008-2009). After that, our studies have expanded to include the firstyears of elementary education, focusing on developing an instrument for evaluating the temporal knowledge of children. We alsohad an intervention program for teachers and children, which was evaluated with pre-and post-tests (2010-2011). Parallel to that,we developed a study in collaboration with Vasconcellos and Daiute (2012) that focused on the concepts of slum, community, andrisk among early education teachers working in schools located in areas of risk. |

A partir de um referencial socio-histórico, buscamos estudar como ascrianças aprendem conceitos a partir de suas interações diárias no ambiente escolar. Os estudos realizados no Grudhe desdesua fundação, no ano de 2009, começaram com a investigação do desenvolvimento de conceitos temporais na educação infantilconjugado a um programa de intervenção junto aos professores e às crianças (2008-2009). Em seguida, nossos estudos seexpandiram para abranger o primeiro segmento do ensino fundamental, focando desenvolver um instrumento de avaliaçãodo conhecimento temporal das crianças. Ali também houve um programa de intervenção avaliado a partir de pré e pós-testes(2010-2011).
