Resumo: This study develops reflections about the discourse of the body in three short stories by Conceição Evaristo: “Luamanda”, “Ana Davenga” e “Duzu-Querença”. The centrality of the black woman’s body in Evaristo’s work emerge as a conter-discuourse against logocentric dualism that engendered the connection of patriarcal witeness to the mind and blackness and feminity to the body, understandind that black womem are indisposed to intelectual work and to (self) reflection. Evaristo’s caracters show that descolonizind mind and body are equivalente and black women who suffer the trauma of racismo anda sexism usually elaborate contradiscurive outlets from their own body that, previously expropirated and controlled, acquires autonomy and undergoes reconfigurations. The theoretical suport that guides such readings are bell hooks (1995), Lélia Gonzalez (1984), Djamila Ribeiro (2019), G. Spivak (2010) e Michelle Perrot (2003).

Spivak (2010) e Michelle Perrot (2003).O presente estudo desenvolve reflexões em torno do discurso do corpo em três contos de Conceição Evaristo: “Luamanda”, “Ana Davenga” e “Duzu-Querença”. A centralidade do corpo da mulher negra, na obra de Evaristo, surge como forma de construir um contradiscurso ao dualismo logocêntrico que engendrou a vinculação da branquitude patriarcal à mente e a negritude e a feminilidade ao corpo, entendendo estes como indispostos ao trabalho intelectual e à (auto)reflexão. As personagens de Evaristo demostram que descolonizar mente e corpo são fenômenos equivalentes, por isso as mulheres negras representadas, em contextos sociais diversos, sofrem o trauma do racismo e do sexismo e elaboram saídas contradiscursivas a partir do próprio corpo que, antes desapropriado e controlado, adquire autonomia e passa por reconfigurações.
