Analysis of the national scientific production on the utilization of digital technologies for nurses’ education

Resumo: | The objective of this study was to seek evidence available in the national scientific literature regarding the utilization of digital teaching technologies in nurses’ education. The adopted research method was integrative literature review. The articles were selected on PubMed, LILACS, Medline, IBECS, and SciELO databases guided by the following question: what digital teaching technologies are used in nursing courses in Brazil? Eleven articles were selected. Results showed that the following were utilized: virtual learning environments, education software, interactive multimedia (CD-ROM), virtual simulations, hypertexts, digital games, websites, and virtual discussion groups (e-group/listservers). The evidence, in this study, shows that digital technologies are materials capable of optimizing knowledge acquisition complementary to traditional education, encouraging students to learning to learn. El método de investigación adoptado fue la revisión integrativa de la literatura. Para seleccionar los artículos, se utilizaron las bases de datos PubMed, LILACS, MedLine, IBECS y SciELO, orientados por la pregunta: ¿cuáles tecnologías digitales de enseñanza son utilizadas en los cursos de formación de enfermeros en Brasil? Fueron seleccionados 11 artículos. Los resultados revelaron la utilización de los ambientes digitales de aprendizaje, los softwares educativos, la multimedia interactiva (CD-ROM), las simulaciones virtuales, los hipertextos, los juegos digitales, el website y los grupos virtuales de discusión (e-group/listservers). Las evidencias en este estudio muestran a las tecnologías digitales como materiales de enseñanza capaces de optimizar la adquisición de conocimiento de modo complementario a la educación tradicional, estimulando al alumno para aprender a aprender. O método de pesquisa adotado foi a revisão integrativa da literatura. Para a seleção dos artigos utilizou-se as bases de dados PubMed, LILACS, Medline, IBECS e SciELO norteadas pela questão: quais tecnologias digitais de ensino são utilizadas nos cursos de formação de enfermeiros no Brasil? Foram selecionados 11 artigos. Os resultados revelaram a utilização dos ambientes digitais de aprendizagem, os softwares educativos, as multimídias interativas (CD-ROM), as simulações virtuais, os hipertextos, os jogos digitais, o website e os grupos virtuais de discussão (e-group/listservers). As evidências, neste estudo, mostram as tecnologias digitais como materiais de ensino capazes de otimizar a aquisição de conhecimento de modo complementar à educação tradicional, estimulando o aluno para o aprender a aprender.
