Resumo: In light of the critical-dialectical perspective and based on bibliographic sources and empirical documents, the objective is to problematize the main tensions and challenges that are planted in the movement of realization of the 2nd Popular State Conference on Education of Tocantins, in May 2022, addressing collective issues, intersecting their organization and building propositions. Taking the Popular Conferences as movements and spaces of political resistance for educational actions that do not have repercussions on education and as mechanisms for democratic management and planning of public educational policies, they reiterate their importance in this situation of infeasibility of public education. This movement materializes the contradiction, with the dispute of classes in the debate and in the construction of proposals for the educational field. KEYWORDS: Conepe-Tocantins. Educational Policy. Education Congresses.A la luz de la perspectiva crítico-dialéctica y con base en fuentes bibliográficas y empírico-documentales, el objetivo es problematizar las principales tensiones y desafíos que se plantearon en el movimiento de realización de la 2ª Conferencia Estatal Popular de Educación de Tocantins, en mayo de 2022, abordando sujetos colectivos, entresijos de su organización y construcción de proposiciones. Tomando a las Conferencias Populares como movimientos y espacios de resistencia política a las medidas educativas que niegan el derecho a la educación y como mecanismos de gestión y planificación democrática de las políticas públicas educativas, se reitera su importancia en esta coyuntura de inviabilidad de la educación pública. Este movimiento materializa la contradicción, con la disputa de clases en el debate y en la construcción de propuestas para el campo educativo. PALABRAS CLAVE: Conepe-Tocantins. Política Educativa. Congresos de Educación.À luz da perspectiva crítico-dialética e assentando-se em fontes bibliográficas e empírico-documentais, este artigo objetiva problematizar as principais tensões e os desafios que se colocaram no movimento de realização da 2ª Conferência Estadual Popular de Educação do Tocantins, em maio de 2022, abordando, para isso, os sujeitos coletivos, meandros da organização e construção de proposições do evento. Tomando as Conferências Populares como movimentos e espaços de resistência política às medidas educacionais que negam o direito à educação e como mecanismos de gestão democrática e planejamento de políticas públicas educacionais, esta pesquisa reitera sua importância nesta conjuntura de inviabilização da educação pública.
