Resumo: This theoretical-bibliographic work aims to investigate the role and characteristics of internship supervisor teachers (PrS) in the national and international scenario. The results show that the role and attributions of the PrS remain undefined, presenting weaknesses such as the absence of specific legislation that defines workload, remuneration, attributions, working conditions and others. In addition to factors external to the actions of the PrS, there are also interaction problems between HEIs, field schools and university professors. Considering these limitations in the supervision process of science teachers, a theoretical model divided into two dimensions is proposed: objective conditions for the supervision activity; profile and attributions of the internship advisor. The objective of the model is to guide new debates and support the discourses for the proposition of a specific educational public policy for the figure of the PrS in the context of the initial education of science teachers.

Además de factores externos a las acciones de la PrS, también existen problemas en la interacción entre las IES, las escuelas de campo y los profesores universitarios. Teniendo en cuenta estas limitaciones en el proceso de supervisión de los profesores de ciencias, proponemos un modelo teórico dividido en dos dimensiones: condiciones objetivas para la actividad de supervisión; perfil y atribuciones del profesor supervisor de prácticas. El propósito del modelo se basa en orientar nuevos debates y sustentar los discursos para la proposición de una política pública educativa específica para la figura de la PrS en el contexto de la formación inicial de los docentes de ciencias.Este trabalho teórico-bibliográfico tem como objetivo investigar o papel e as características dos professores supervisores de estágio (PrS) no cenário nacional e internacional. Os resultados apontam que o papel e as atribuições dos PrS seguem indefinidas, apresentando fragilidades como a ausência de uma legislação específica que defina carga horária, remuneração, atribuições, condições de trabalho e outros. Para além de fatores externos a ações dos PrS, há também problemas na interação entre as IES, as escolas-campo e os professores universitários.
