Resumo: This work deals with the representation of the world by man through artistic productions until the advent of photography and cinema. It is a historical-social survey relating the development of technologies, arts and philosophy. One of the main objectives artistic productions until the advent of photography and cinema was the imitation of the forms of reality, but from these technologies this became, taking place the abstraction and fragmentation of the forms. This revolution also occurred in the field of Knowledge Theory, as these technologies stimulated thinkers to understand the nature of knowledge through the lens of Realism.

Trata-se de um levantamento histórico-social, relacionando o desenvolvimento das tecnologias, artes e filosofia. Um dos principais objetivos das produções artísticas até o advento da fotografia e do cinema foi a imitação das formas da realidade, porém a partir destas tecnologias isto se transformou, ocorrendo a abstração e fragmentação das formas.
