Resumo: The aim of this study was to analyze the development of collaborative skills for teamwork by residents coping with Covid-19 in a municipality in the State of São Paulo. This is a descriptive, exploratory and transversal study with a qualitative approach, developed through a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews, with 24 medical and multiprofessional residents, who participated in the Covid-19 call center in 2020. The interviews were recorded, transcribed and analyzed using the content analysis technique. The results were organized into three themes: learning as a team, understanding the work process and approximation to user-centered care. Clarity of roles, team functioning, interprofessional communication, patient-centered care, and conflict resolution were developed skills in the call center service, enhanced by the humanization policy, which brought them closer to interprofessional collaborative practice.
