Special Education in pedagogical projects of the undergraduate courses at the Federal University of Alfenas

Resumo: This article has the goal of investigating how the topic of Special Education is approached in the pedagogical projects of the undergraduate courses of a federal institution of higher education in Minas Gerais. The study consisted of a documental analysis of such projects that made it possible to verify whether they meet what is guided and regulated by the policies and legislation that deal with the theme. It was also possible to understand and discuss the curricular organization of the contents and the conceptions of Special Education brought forth by the language used in the documents. Finally, it was attempted to argue in favor of two issues: a transversal approach to Special Education in the curriculum and an inclusive educational paradigm, which is only possible from the perspective of an education that considers the uniqueness and the difference itself of each being.

El estudio consistió en un análisis documental de dichos proyectos que permitió verificar si ellos atenden a la orientación y a la normatización de las políticas y de la legislación que tratan de este tema. También fue posible comprender y discutir la organización curricular de los contenidos y las concepciones de Educación Especial a partir del lenguaje que figura en los documentos. Finalmente, se buscó argumentar a favor de dos cuestiones: un abordaje transversal de la Educación Especial en los currículos y un paradigma educacional incluyente, lo que solamente se hace posible desde la óptica de una educación que considere la singularidad y la diferencia de cada ser.O presente artigo tem como objetivo investigar como o tema da Educação Especial é abordado nos projetos pedagógicos dos cursos de licenciatura de uma instituição federal de ensino superior de Minas Gerais. O estudo consistiu em uma análise documental de tais projetos que permitiu verificar se estes atendem ao que está orientado e normatizado pelas políticas e pela legislação que tratam do tema. Também foi possível compreender e discutir a organização curricular dos conteúdos e as concepções de Educação Especial reveladas pela linguagem utilizada nos documentos.
