Freire’s didacticism in Higher Education: an experience in the discipline of Didacticism

Resumo: This article aims to relate a classroom experience based on the education perspective of Paulo Freire, performed by one of the authors attached to the discipline of Didactics of Degree in History in a public University. For this purpose, a descriptive and qualitative research was conducted, which consisted of describing the phases for embodiment of a didactic in higher education, based on a thematic research methodology of Freire. We concluded about the importance of recovering the concept of Didactic in Paulo Freire and its real possibilities for the achievement in the teaching practice. However, its adoption involves that the universitary lecturer breaks with the traditional way of content selection and be radically compromised with the critical dialog and the democratic emancipatory ideals.

Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa descritiva e qualitativa, que consistiu em descrever as etapas para materialização de uma didática no Ensino Superior, com base na metodologia de investigação temática freireana. Concluímos sobre a importância de recuperar o conceito de Didática em Paulo Freire e as possibilidades reais para sua concretização na prática docente.
