Education for health from the point of view of nursing students

Resumo: In this work we analyze the importance of health education as experienced by nursing students. The research is based on valuing health education in the current social context, carrying out a historical review of its appearance in Brazil. We also dealt with the relation of health education with the higher education institutions. Quantitative and qualitative research was used in this work, seeking to investigate the perception of these subjects in the context of the subject Education of Health. The results found show an important perception of the subjects for the "constitution" of the nurse, both professional and personal, The work is concluded by raising issues on the attitude and conduct of higher education institutions in the face of Health Education.

La investigación se basa en la valoración de este tipo de educación dentro del actual contexto social y realiza una retrospectiva histórica de su aparición en Brasil. Se enfocó, también, su relación con las instituciones de enseñanza superior. Este trabajo se realizó mediante investigación cuantitativa y cualitativa, que busca observar la percepción de los académicos dentro del contexto de la asignatura Educación para la Salud. Los resultados indican que la asignatura es importante para la formación tanto profesional como personal del enfermero. El trabajo concluye cuestionando la postura y conducta de la institución de enseñanza superior ante la educación para la salud.Neste trabalho, analisa-se a importância da Educação em Saúde segundo vivências do acadêmico de enfermagem. A pesquisa fundamenta-se na valorização da Educação em Saúde no contexto social atual, realizando uma retrospectiva histórica de seu surgimento no Brasil. Abordou-se, também, a relação da Educação em Saúde com as instituições de ensino superior. Utilizou-se neste trabalho pesquisa quantiqualitativa, que busca investigar a percepção de tais sujeitos sobre Educação em Saúde no contexto da disciplina Educação para Saúde. Os resultados encontrados demonstram uma importante percepção da disciplina para a "constituição" do enfermeiro, tanto profissional como pessoalmente.
