The present study analyzes the corporeity entering the Tremembé indigenous culture, using as a methodological reference the phenomenology of Merleau-Ponty's perception (1994). The aim of this work is to report the Témembembe Torem (even if succinctly) in a perceptive and philosophical denotation. The article takes as reference the intercultural tradition, the decolonization of the imaginary, the estania, the autopoiesis and the ecology of knowledge about the cultural, symbolic and aesthetic significances, that reveal the corporeity in the Torem dance of the Tremembé Indians, for an opening of knowledge. The epistemological analysis of corporeity and cultural alterity also composes parts of the debate of this work. Preserving spaces for discoveries of other paths that can be traveled and knowledge that may influence the processes and results of future research. Torem is then described in a philosophical and sensitive language, relating the lived experiences and their multiple meanings.
