ANALYSIS OF FACTORS HINDERING THE PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS IN THE SCHOOLS OF THE MUNICIPAL NETWORK OF SÃO PAULO

Resumo: This descriptive study analyzes and compares the difficulties perceived by Physical Education (PE) teachers, who work in municipal public schools of São Paulo City, at the time to carry out their pedagogical practice. Seventy-nine PE teachers were asked to express their degree of disagreement/agreement with 44 statements. The SPSS software, version 21.0, was used to statistically analyze the answers, and the Mann-Whitney U test was used in the comparisons, at 5% significance level. Twenty-five (25) statements were identified as little, very or extremely detrimental to the pedagogical practice. There was no statistically significant difference in the perception of teachers trained in different decades, with different professional experience times. Most of the perceived difficulties in the pedagogical practice effectiveness result from macrostructural issues affecting the daily routine in schools. In this context, the effective participation of teachers in public policies aimed at Basic Education is necessary.

In this context, the effective participation of teachers in public policies aimed at Basic Education is necessary.Este estudio descriptivo analiza y compara las dificultades percibidas por los docentes EF que trabajan en escuelas públicas municipales de la ciudad de São Paulo, en el momento de llevar a cabo su práctica pedagógica. Se pidió a 79 maestros de EF que expresaran su grado de desacuerdo/acuerdo relativo a 44 declaraciones. El software SPSS, versión 21.0, se utilizó para analizar estadísticamente las respuestas, mientras que la prueba U de Mann-Whitney al nivel de significación del 5% se utilizó en las comparaciones. Veinticinco declaraciones fueron identificadas como poco, muy o muy perjudiciales para la práctica pedagógica. No hubo diferencias estadísticamente significativas en la percepción de los docentes. La mayoría de las dificultades percibidas resultan de problemas macroestructurales que afectan la rutina diaria de las escuelas. En este contexto, es necesaria la participación efectiva de los docentes en las políticas públicas dirigidas a la Educación Básica.Este estudo descritivo analisa e compara as dificuldades percebidas por professores de Educação Física (EF) que trabalham em escolas públicas municipais da cidade de São Paulo ao realizar suas práticas pedagógicas. Solicitou-se que 79 professores de EF expressassem seu grau de desacordo/acordo em relação a 44 afirmações. O software SPSS, versão 21.0, foi usado para analisar estatisticamente as respostas, e o teste U de Mann-Whitney, com nível de significância de 5%, foi usado nas comparações. Vinte e cinco afirmações foram identificadas como pouco, muito ou extremamente prejudiciais para a prática pedagógica. Não houve diferença estatisticamente significativa na percepção de professores formados em diferentes décadas ou com diferentes tempos de experiência profissional. A maioria das dificuldades percebidas para a eficácia da prática pedagógica resultou de questões macroestruturais que afetam a rotina diária nas escolas.
