THE PROFILE OF SPORTS COACHES OF ACADEMIC ATHLETIC ASSOCIATIONS OF THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF GOIÁS

Resumo: The objective of the research was to investigate the profile of the sports coaches of the Academic Athletic Associations (AAA) linked to the Federal University of Goiás, in terms of personal characteristics, training, professional performance and training preferences. For data collection, a questionnaire was developed involving 38 questions, which gathered responses from 37 coaches. Data were analyzed based on descriptive statistics. The results show the predominance of male coaches, young, brown or white. Of the total, 54% are graduated in Physical Education, 41% are Physical Education students and 5% have training in other courses. Most work with team sports (89.19%), have up to three years of experience with AAA (58.46%) and do not have working with AAA as their main source of income (86.49%). University education, independent studies, professional experience and talking/working with other coaches are among the biggest training preferences.

Para la recolección de datos, se elaboró ​​un cuestionario de 38 preguntas, que recogió las respuestas de 37 entrenadores. Los datos fueron analizados con base en la estadística descriptiva. Los resultados muestran el predominio de entrenadores masculinos, jóvenes, morenos o blancos. Del total, el 54% son licenciados en Educación Física, el 41% son estudiantes de Educación Física y el 5% tienen formación en otros cursos. La mayoría trabaja con deportes colectivos (89,19%), tiene hasta tres años de experiencia con AAA (58,46%) y no tiene el trabajo con AAA como principal fuente de ingresos (86,49%). La educación universitaria, los estudios independientes, la experiencia profesional y hablar/trabajar con otros entrenadores se encuentran entre las mayores preferencias de formación.O objetivo da pesquisa foi investigar o perfil dos(as) treinadores(as) esportivos das Associações Atlética Acadêmicas (AAA) vinculadas à Universidade Federal de Goiás, em função das características pessoais, formação, atuação profissional e preferências formativas. Para a coleta de dados foi elaborado um questionário envolvendo 38 questões, o qual reuniu respostas de 37 treinadores(as). Os dados foram analisados com base na técnica de estatística descritiva. Os resultados evidenciam a predominância de treinadores homens, jovens, pardos ou brancos. Do total, 54% são formados em Educação Física, 41% são estudantes de Educação Física e 5% possuem formação em outros cursos. A maioria atua com esportes coletivos (89,19%), tem até três anos de experiência com AAA (58,46%) e não tem no trabalho com AAA a principal fonte de renda (86,49%).
