Resumo: The study aimed to analyze the composition of the free time of Physical Education teachers who work in higher education at IFCE - Campus Juazeiro do Norte and the implications of teaching work in the enjoyment of leisure. The research methodology is characterized as qualitative, transversal, descriptive and field. Interviews were carried out with 11 teachers who work in a Licentiate Degree in Physical Education at IFCE - Juazeiro do Norte. Given the inquiries during the data collection process, it appears that these professionals are able to give space to leisure and experience leisure activities in their daily lives, however, it was observed that there is a high demand for work, after the institutional workload, manifested through planning, guidance, meetings, research and bureaucratic activities.

La metodología de investigación se caracteriza por ser cualitativa, transversal, descriptiva y de campo. Se realizaron entrevistas a 11 docentes que laboran en una Licenciatura en Educación Física en IFCE - Juazeiro do Norte. Dadas las indagaciones durante el proceso de recogida de datos, parece que estos profesionales son capaces de dar espacio al ocio y experimentar actividades de ocio en su vida diaria, sin embargo, se observó que existe una alta demanda de trabajo, luego de la carga institucional, que se manifiesta a través de la planificación, orientación, reuniones, investigación y actividades burocráticas.O estudo teve por objetivo geral analisar a composição do tempo livre de professores de Educação Física que atuam no ensino superior no IFCE - Campus Juazeiro do Norte e as implicações do trabalho docente na fruição do lazer. A metodologia da pesquisa caracteriza-se como qualitativa, transversal, descritiva e de campo. Foram realizadas entrevistas com 11 professores que atuam em um curso de Licenciatura em Educação Física no IFCE - Juazeiro do Norte.
