Resumo: In this research we aim to analyze the knowledge treated in classes of a curricular component of the degree in Physical Education of the Federal University of Pará, with emphasis on knowledge focused on dance teaching at school. The research technique used was participant observation and field score. As a result, we systematize knowledge related to Rudolf Laban's motion factors, the conception of dance as sociocultural construction, body awareness and creative processes. We conclude that such knowledge, within the initial formation under analysis and in the direction of a critical look, aim at creative, conscious and reconstructed experiences with dance in the school environment.

La técnica de investigación utilizada fue la observación de los participantes y la puntuación de campo. Como resultado, sistematizamos el conocimiento relacionado con los factores de movimiento de Rudolf Laban, la concepción de la danza como construcción sociocultural, conciencia corporal y procesos creativos. Concluimos que tales conocimientos, dentro de la formación inicial bajo análisis y en la dirección de una mirada crítica, tienen como objetivo experiencias creativas, conscientes y reconstruidas con la danza en el entorno escolar.Neste estudo temos como objetivo analisar os saberes tratados em aulas de um componente curricular da licenciatura em Educação Física da Universidade Federal do Pará, com ênfase para os saberes voltados ao ensino da dança na escola. A técnica de pesquisa utilizada foi a observação participante e a nota de campo. Como resultado, sistematizamos os saberes relacionados aos fatores de movimento de Rudolf Laban, a concepção de dança como construção sociocultural, a consciência corporal e os processos criativos.
