Resumo: This study aims to analyze the challenges and perspectives in the inclusion and attention to the diversity of students with Special Educational Needs, from the perspective of a protagonist, in order to promote the importance of addressing this issue more effectively. An interpretative paradigm is approached with a phenomenological, descriptive, and narrative design, which demonstrates the theoretical support of the topic and the narrative of the experiences of an interviewee. Findings reveal that the main challenges in inclusion and attention to diversity are the lack of teacher training, stigmatization, and the need to adopt a sensitive and understanding attitude towards academic difficulties. An approach based on rights is advocated, recognizing inclusion as an ethical and legal imperative, the creation of support networks that include interdisciplinarity with necessary professionals according to the pathologies, and raising awareness in society as key elements to promote inclusive and quality education.

Se aborda desde un paradigma interpretativo con un diseño fenomenológico, descriptivo y narrativo, que muestra el respaldo teórico de la temática y el relato de las vivencias del entrevistado. Los hallazgos revelan que los principales desafíos en la inclusión y la atención a la diversidad es la ausencia de capacitación docente, la estigmatización y la necesidad de adoptar una actitud sensible y comprensiva ante las dificultades académicas.
