Resumo: | This article is the result of a master's research and aims to reflect on the meaning of the expression "Good Teacher" based on academic research, theoretical frameworks, and elementary school teachers from a school in the interior of the state of São Paulo. The study adopts a qualitative approach, involving a literature review and empirical research through the administration of 20 questionnaires, followed by 4 reflective interviews with the participating teachers. The theoretical framework encompasses authors with a perspective of Critical Pedagogy and Historical-Critical Pedagogy. The results revealed that the educational work of the teachers is imbued with the technical dimension of teaching, and that in moments of reflection and narratives about their own practice, the elements considered for being good teachers are predominantly technical, based on mastery of the content to be taught. |

El estudio adopta un enfoque cualitativo, realizando investigación bibliográfica y empírica a través de la aplicación de 20 cuestionarios y posteriormente la realización de 4 entrevistas reflexivas con los docentes participantes de la investigación. El marco teórico abarca autores con un enfoque de Pedagogía Crítica e Histórico-Crítica. Los resultados revelaron que el trabajo educativo de los profesores está imbuido en la dimensión técnica de la labor docente y que, en los momentos de reflexión y narrativas sobre su propia práctica, los elementos considerados para ser buenos profesores son predominantemente técnicos, basados en el dominio de los contenidos a trabajar.Este artigo resulta de pesquisa de mestrado e tem como objetivo refletir o significado da expressão “Bom Professor”, a partir de pesquisas acadêmicas, referenciais teóricos e professores de anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola no interior do Estado de São Paulo. O estudo é de abordagem qualitativa com a realização de pesquisa bibliográfica e empírica através de aplicação de 20 (vinte) questionários e, posteriormente, a realização de 4 (quatro) entrevistas reflexivas junto aos docentes participantes da investigação. O referencial teórico abrange autores com viés da Pedagogia Crítica e Histórico-Crítica.
