Resumo: This monograph aims to study the influence of the media on the Sentencing Council of the Jury Court. The methodology used is the bibliographical compilation of literary works, doctrines of law, scientific articles, monographs and jurisprudence positions of the superior courts. The monograph is divided into three chapters. First, the origin of the Jury Court is addressed, a topic that is still the focus of a great discussion between scholars and historians around the world. Furthermore, its arrival in the Brazilian legal system up to the present day stands out. The second chapter deals with conceptualizing the Jury Court, discussing its organization, its principles, its competence and its constitutional foundations. Finally, the third chapter aims to analyze the relationship between the media and the lay jurors of the Sentencing Council of the Jury, as well as their effects on the principles of the Presumption of Innocence and Impartiality.

A metodologia utilizada é a de compilação bibliográfica de obras literárias, doutrinas de direito, artigos científicos, monografias e posicionamentos jurisprudências dos tribunais superiores. A monografia está dividida em três capítulos. Primeiro, é abordado a origem do Tribunal do Júri, tema que até hoje é foco de uma grande discussão entre doutrinadores e historiadores ao redor do mundo. Além do mais, destaca-se a sua chegada ao ordenamento jurídico brasileiro até os dias atuais. O segundo capítulo trata de conceituar o Tribunal do Júri, discorrer sobre a sua organização, os seus princípios, a sua competência e os seus fundamentos constitucionais.
