Rural schools in the amazon region: traces of policy and public administration in Rondônia

Resumo: The objective of the research was to analyze part of the historical process of constitution of the Amazonian rural school in the Brazilian context. One of the questions was: what is the rural school model thought and instituted in the state of Rondônia? The methodological process was anchored in bibliographic materials and had empirical activities for the collection of historical sources produced by public administrations on Education, such as statistical reports and bulletins. Narratives about teaching practice were used. It was found that the situation in which rural schools in Rondonia were created is a precarious situation and the absence of public policies.

Uma das indagações foi: qual o modelo de escola rural pensado e instituído no estado de Rondônia? O processo metodológico ancorou-se em materiais bibliográficos e contou com atividades empíricas para a coleta de fontes históricas produzidas pelas administrações públicas sobre a Educação, a exemplo de relatórios estatísticos e boletins. Utilizou-se de narrativas sobre a prática docente.
