Resumo: The global scenario is in an accelerated economic phase and as a result, the national economic scenario is no different. In recent years, a situation can be observed in Brazil: the significant increase in the participation of young people in the economy, through the increase in purchasing power after completing the last stage of basic education. However, this factor has had a side effect on young people: financial indebtedness. This situation can be justified by the lack of minimal knowledge of financial and budgetary management. The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of the lack of financial and budget education in high school and the financial vulnerability that leads to youth indebtedness. This research presents concepts of economy and indebtedness to contextualize and substantiate the report and, therefore, the performance of a bibliographical and documental analysis that shows as a result an alert: we are on a collision course. The current generation cannot manage itself, and its main hopes are in a school grade that still does not exist. It concludes whether there is an immediate need to insert administrative and budgetary education as a mandatory subject in the common curriculum of schools to change this scenario of default.

En los últimos años, se puede observar una situación en Brasil: el aumento significativo de la participación de los jóvenes en la economía, a través del aumento del poder adquisitivo después de completar la última etapa de la educación básica. Sin embargo, este factor ha tenido un efecto secundario en los jóvenes: el endeudamiento económico. Esta situación puede justificarse por la falta de conocimientos mínimos de gestión financiera y presupuestaria. El objetivo de este estudio es analizar el efecto de la falta de educación financiera y presupuestaria en la escuela secundaria y la vulnerabilidad financiera que conduce al endeudamiento de los jóvenes. Esta investigación presenta conceptos de economía y endeudamiento para contextualizar y fundamentar el informe y, por tanto, la realización de un análisis bibliográfico y documental que arroja como resultado una alerta: estamos en rumbo de colisión. La generación actual no puede valerse por sí misma, y ​​sus principales esperanzas están en una grilla escolar aún inexistente. Concluye que existe una necesidad inmediata de insertar la educación administrativa y presupuestaria como materia obligatoria en el currículo común de las escuelas para cambiar este escenario de incumplimiento.O cenário global encontra-se em uma fase económica acelerada e como resultado, no cenário econômico nacional não é diferente. Nos últimos anos, uma situação pode ser observada no Brasil: o aumento significativo de participação dos jovens na economia, por meio do aumento do poder de compra após a conclusão da última etapa da educação básica. Porém, este fator tem provocado um efeito colateral nos jovens: o endividamento financeiro. Tal situação pode ser justificada pela falta de conhecimento mínimo de administração financeira e orçamentária. O objetivo deste estudo é analisar qual é o efeito da falta de educação financeira e orçamentária no ensino médio e na vulnerabilidade financeira que leva ao endividamento dos jovens. Esta pesquisa apresenta conceitos de economia e endividamento para contextualizar e fundamentar o relato e, por conseguinte, a realização de uma análise bibliográfica e documental que mostra como resultado um alerta: estamos em rota de colisão. A atual geração não consegue administrar a si mesma, e suas principais esperanças estão em uma grade escolar ainda inexistente.
