ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AT SCHOOL: WAYS TO DEVELOP ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS IN STUDENTS

Resumo: | Environmental education is one of the main tools for developing better relationships with nature, with the school being an important means of dissemination. This article is a qualitative research, through a case study at E.M.E.F “Duque de Caxias” in the city of São Paulo, in which the instruments were used: interview and on-site observation for data collection. The data were analyzed in the light of the qualitative method in order to meet the objective of the research, which was to identify the environmental education actions and / or projects developed at the “Duque de Caxias” school and its impact on the environmental awareness process of students from an 8th grade class of elementary school. The results showed that yes, the school through its projects and actions favors the awareness process in the vast majority of students. |

O presente artigo trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, por meio de um estudo de caso na E.M.E.F “Duque de Caxias” na cidade de São Paulo, em que foram utilizados os instrumentos: entrevista e observação in loco para a coleta de dados. Os dados foram analisados à luz do método qualitativo com a finalidade de atender o objetivo da pesquisa que foi de identificar as ações e/ou projetos de educação ambiental desenvolvidos na escola “Duque de Caxias” e seu impacto no processo de conscientização ambiental dos alunos de uma turma do 8° ano do ensino fundamental.
