Resumo: This work presents notes on the contributions that science fairs can provide to science education in the state of Tocantins. The research object the Science Fair of the state of Tocantins - FECITO, which takes place annually in the municipality of Araguaína - TO, promoted at the Federal University of Tocantins by the degree courses in natural sciences, coordinate by a professor of the degree course in biology. And, its general objective was to identify the contributions of these events to science education in basic education in Tocantins, highlighting how these contributions were made throughout the editions of the event. Therefore, a qualitative research was developed based on the methodological assumptions of documentary analysis and data collection, treated in the light of content analysis. From which we built two categories, academic science education and science education in basic education, both reveal the contributions of the event in different contexts over the years of its editions and corroborate the promotion of the interaction of teachers and students of basic education, academics the courses of degrees in natural sciences and professors at the university, in an environment conducive to the exchange of experience provided by FECITO, as identified in the two categories that emerged from the data analysis.

Así, la Feria Estatal de Ciencias de Tocantins - FECITO, que se realiza anualmente en el municipio de Araguaína - TO, impulsada en la Universidad Federal de Tocantins por cursos de licenciatura en ciencias naturales, coordinada por un profesor de la carrera de licenciatura en biología. Y, su objetivo general fue identificar los aportes de estos eventos a la educación científica en la educación básica en Tocantins, destacando cómo estos aportes se realizaron a lo largo de las ediciones del evento, por lo que se desarrolló una investigación cualitativa basada en los supuestos metodológicos del análisis documental. como forma y recopilación de datos, tratados a la luz del análisis de contenido. A partir de las cuales construimos dos categorías, la educación científica académica y la educación científica en la educación básica, las cuales revelan los aportes del evento en diferentes contextos a lo largo de los años de sus ediciones y corroboran la promoción de la interacción de docentes y estudiantes de educación básica, académicos y cursos de grados en ciencias naturales y profesores de la universidad, en un entorno propicio para el intercambio de experiencias que brinda la FECITO, identificadas en las dos categorías que surgieron del análisis de datos.  Este trabalho traz apontamentos sobre as contribuições que as feiras de ciências podem proporcionar a educação científica no estado do Tocantins. Tendo como objeto de pesquisa a Feira de Ciências do estado do Tocantins – FECITO, que ocorre anualmente no município de Araguaína – TO, promovido na Universidade Federal do Tocantins, pelos cursos de licenciatura em ciências naturais, coordenado por um professor do curso de licenciatura em biologia. O objetivo geral constituiu-se em identificar as contribuições desses eventos para educação científica na educação básica no Tocantins, destacando como se deram essas contribuições ao longo das edições do evento, para tanto, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa qualitativa fundamentada nos pressupostos metodológicos da análise documental e coleta de dados, examinados à luz da análise de conteúdo.
