PUBLIC POLICIES IN THE AMBIT OF HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION: CONNECTIONS WITH MATHEMATICS EDUCATION

Resumo: This article aims to analyze the implications and connections of Brazilian public policies in the scope of Human Rights Education for Mathematics Education. We proposed to do a qualitative exploratory research. Regarding the study procedures, we conducted a bibliographic and documentary survey with the intention of seeking decrees, laws and programs of the Brazilian State relating to Public Policies correlated to Human Rights Education, as well as international treaties and declarations that also dialogue on this topic. An overview of the process of implementation of these public policies in favor of Human Rights Education and the social and political movements that cross it. The text defends a human, emancipatory, libertarian and integral formation, with ethical principles aimed at the promotion of peace based on Human Rights Education. We also support the profile of the mathematics teacher as a sociocultural and political agent that is included in the commitment of humanization of people and the preservation of a healthy and sustainable school environment. However, it is known that, even with the perspective of Human Rights Education having extensive literature and is present in the official curriculum guidelines, it is not yet a reality in Brazilian education.

Propusemos fazer uma pesquisa qualitativa do tipo exploratória. Quanto aos procedimentos do estudo, fizemos um levantamento bibliográfico e documental com intenção de buscar decretos, leis e programas do Estado brasileiro referentes às Políticas Públicas correlacionadas à Educação em Direitos Humanos, bem como tratados e declarações internacionais que também dialogam sobre essa temática. Apresenta-se um panorama do processo de implantação dessas políticas públicas em prol da Educação em Direitos Humanos e os movimentos sociais e políticos que o atravessam. Defende-se no texto uma formação humana, emancipatória, libertária e integral, com princípios éticos e voltados para a promoção da paz fundamentados na Educação em Direitos Humanos. Sustentamos, também, o perfil do professor de matemática como agente sociocultural e político que se inclui no compromisso da humanização das pessoas e da preservação de um ambiente escolar saudável e sustentável.
