SCIENTIFIC LETTERING DOC DOCTORNY OF BIOLOGY PROFESSORS: CONCEPÇÃO AND PRACTICE

Resumo: The present study aims to analyze how the Scientific Literature has been developed by Biology teachers in public high schools of the municipality of Iguatu / CE. This is a qualitative, exploratory research, with case study approaches. For data collection, a semi-structured interview was used with 13 teachers. The information obtained was analyzed in light of the Discursive Textual Analysis. The results showed that the interviewed teachers present uncertainty regarding the subject of this study, as well as difficulties in making a relation with their daily practices. They are not clear about the concept of Scientific Letters. They use as main pedagogical strategy for the classes the textbook, which is often disconnected from the reality of the students, according to the interviewees. It is possible to infer that this theme must be problematized among teachers in order to enable them for reflection, seeking a teaching practice that is intimately significant for students, aiming at the scientific literacy of these.

Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, de cunho exploratório, com aproximações de estudo de caso. Para coleta dos dados, utilizou-se entrevista semiestruturada junto a 13 professores. As informações obtidas foram analisadas à luz da Análise Textual Discursiva. Os resultados demonstraram que os professores entrevistados apresentam insegurança quanto ao tema deste estudo, bem como, dificuldades em fazer relação com suas práticas diárias. Não possuem clareza quanto ao conceito de Letramento Científico. Utilizam como estratégia pedagógica principal para as aulas o livro didático, o qual muitas vezes é desconexo da realidade dos alunos, conforme os entrevistados.
