This article aims to increase and understand the production of knowledge and its development about Modeling in Mathematics Education in the research of Theses and Dissertations in Graduate Programs in Brazil in the period 2017-2022, through a systematic review of the literature. This is qualitative research, in an evidence perspective and the data were collected at BDTD- Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, between the years 2017 to 2022. the analysis, taking into account the established inclusion and exclusion criteria, where the quantitative of these studies were described, their approaches, their developments, their educational practices, their theoretical and epistemological assumptions, their teaching levels and their contributions and their reported difficulties. We verified a growth of research in the area of ​​Modeling in Mathematics Education with more emphasis on higher education and the results show that Modeling in Mathematics Education can enhance interdisciplinarity, the development of critical thinking, autonomy, dialogue and integration of communication technologies and information in teaching.
