CURRICULUM TRANSFORMATION OF THE NEW HIGH SCHOOL FROM THE VIEW OF THE STEAM APPROACH

Resumo: In order to adapt to the needs of the 21st century, New High School seeks to promote a curricular organization that considers the interests of students and the sociocultural context, implementing from this perspective a curriculum composed of basic general education and the training itinerary that is related to the four structuring axes defined in the new Curricular Guidelines for Secondary Education (DCNEM). Thus, the objective of this article was to analyze the curricular transformation of the New High School, from the perspective of teacher training oriented to the STEAM Approach (acronym in English for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). The methodology used to analyze the data collected through participant observation and two semi-structured questionnaires was qualitative and with phenomenological characteristics. The research universe was composed of teachers from different areas of knowledge of a pilot school of the New High School belonging to the state public network of the capital of Mato Grosso. The results showed that the STEAM approach has the potential to be explored in High School, starting from teacher training until the due approximation between classroom practice and the requirements determined by the DCNEM and expressed in the Curricular Reference Document of the State of Mato Grosso, High School stage (DRC-MT/EM).

Así, el objetivo de este artículo fue analizar la transformación curricular de la Nueva Escuela Secundaria, desde la perspectiva de la formación docente orientada al Enfoque STEAM (acrónimo en inglés de Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). La metodología utilizada para analizar los datos recolectados a través de la observación participante y dos cuestionarios semiestructurados fue cualitativa y con características fenomenológicas. El universo de la investigación estuvo compuesto por profesores de diferentes áreas del conocimiento de una escuela piloto de la Nueva Escuela Secundaria perteneciente a la red pública estatal de la capital de Mato Grosso. Los resultados mostraron que el enfoque STEAM tiene potencial para ser explorado en la Enseñanza Media, a partir de la formación de profesores hasta la debida aproximación entre la práctica de aula y los requisitos determinados por la DCNEM y expresados en el Documento de Referencia Curricular del Estado de Mato Grosso, Alto Etapa escolar (RDC-MT/EM).Para se adaptar às necessidades do século XXI, o Novo Ensino Médio busca promover uma organização curricular que considera os interesses dos estudantes e o contexto sociocultural, implementando um currículo composto pela formação geral básica e pelo itinerário formativo que está relacionado aos quatro eixos estruturantes definidos nas novas Diretrizes Curriculares para o Ensino Médio (DCNEM). Nesse contexto, o objetivo deste artigo foi analisar a transformação curricular do Novo Ensino Médio, sob a perspectiva de uma formação de professores orientada para a Abordagem STEAM (acrônimo em inglês para Ciências, Tecnologia, Engenharia, Artes e Matemática). A metodologia utilizada foi a qualitativa, com características fenomenológicas e os dados foram coletados por meio de observação participante e de dois questionários semiestruturados. O universo da investigação foi composto por professores das diversas áreas do conhecimento de uma escola-piloto do Novo Ensino Médio pertencente à rede pública estadual de Cuiabá-MT.
