Ethnomathematics in the initial formation of future Mathematics teachers: revealing looks and brands

Resumo: | This article is based on a doctoral research that aimed to analyze how the discipline of the training curriculum in the Mathematics Degree, which bears the word Ethnomathematics in the title, can contribute to the construction of the knowledge of future mathematics teachers. We identified through consultation on e-MEC platform the courses that present a discipline called Ethnomathematics, we chose as subjects of the research the current professor of the discipline and students who have already studied this discipline. We have a total of 37 subjects for research: 5 teachers who teach the discipline Ethnomathematics and 32 students who have already studied it. The methodology involved an interview with each of these teachers and an electronic questionnaire with each of these students. Then we seek to establish articulations, approximations and distance between the speeches. This article brings some partial results of the research, and addresses some contributions of Ethnomathematics, in terms of breaking paradigms in relation to the universality of Mathematics and its implications in the perspective of teaching and learning of future teachers. The graduates who participated in the research pointed out as marks: the need to value the social, economic and cultural context of future students, the recognition of Mathematics as a human construction and one of the existing ethnomathematics, the opening for dialogue and the humanization of the process of teaching learning. |

Identificamos consultando la plataforma e-MEC los cursos que presentan una disciplina denominada Etnomatemática, elegimos como sujetos de investigación al profesor actual de la disciplina y a los estudiantes que ya han cursado esta disciplina. Contamos con un total de 37 asignaturas de investigación: 5 profesores que imparten la disciplina Etnomatemática y 32 alumnos que ya la han cursado. La metodología implicó una entrevista con cada uno de estos profesores y un cuestionario electrónico con cada uno de estos estudiantes. Luego buscamos establecer articulaciones, aproximaciones y distancia entre los discursos. Este artículo trae algunos resultados parciales de la investigación, y aborda algunos aportes de la Etnomatemática, en términos de ruptura de paradigmas en relación a la universalidad de la Matemática y sus implicaciones en la perspectiva de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de los futuros docentes. Los egresados que participaron en la investigación señalaron como marcas: la necesidad de valorar el contexto social, económico y cultural de los futuros estudiantes, el reconocimiento de la Matemática como una construcción humana y una de las etnomatemáticas existentes, la apertura al diálogo y la humanización de la el proceso de enseñar a aprender.Este artigo é baseado em uma pesquisa de doutorado que teve como objetivo analisar como a disciplina do currículo de formação na Licenciatura em Matemática, que traz no título a palavra Etnomatemática, pode contribuir para a construção dos saberes dos futuros professores de Matemática. Identificamos por meio de consulta à plataforma e-MEC os cursos que apresentam uma disciplina intitulada de Etnomatemática, elegemos como sujeitos da pesquisa o professor atual da disciplina e alunos que já cursaram essa disciplina. Temos ao todo 37 sujeitos para pesquisa: 5 professores que lecionam a disciplina Etnomatemática e 32 alunos que já cursaram a mesma. A metodologia envolveu uma entrevista com cada um desses professores e um questionário eletrônico com cada um desses alunos. Em seguida buscamos estabelecer articulações, aproximações e distanciamento entre os discursos. Este artigo traz alguns resultados da pesquisa, e aborda algumas contribuições da Etnomatemática, no que tange a quebrando paradigmas em relação a universalidade da Matemática e as suas implicações na perspectiva de ensino aprendizagem dos futuros professores.
