THE ROLE OF MONITORS IN FULL-TIME EDUCATION POLICIES IN BRAZIL

Resumo: The article aims to conduct a survey on the role of monitors in full-time education experiences at the national level over the past ten years. The study is qualitative in nature, using the methodological procedures of the State of the Question, with the use of the descriptors "integral education," "full-time school," "monitor," "monitoring" either in isolation or in combination. Working with articles published on CAPES Periodicals Portal, seven peer-reviewed articles were identified, with the majority addressing experiences related to the Mais Educação Program. Findings show that this new subject enters the educational environment through the implementation of extended school hours experiences since the creation of the Mais Educação Program in 2007, although their roles and responsibilities within the scope of the projects and in coordination with schools are not clearly defined. In addition to a precarious training profile, monitors face difficulties in terms of working conditions, working hours, and contractual relationships.

El estudio es de naturaleza cualitativa, utilizando los procedimientos metodológicos del Estado de la Cuestión, con el uso de los descriptores "educación integral", "escuela de tiempo completo", "monitor", "monitoría" ya sea de forma aislada o combinada. Trabajando con artículos publicados en el Portal de Periódicos de CAPES, se identificaron siete artículos revisados por pares, siendo que la mayoría trata de experiencias relacionadas con el Programa Mais Educação. Las constataciones muestran que este nuevo sujeto ingresa al ambiente educativo a través de experiencias de ampliación de la jornada escolar implementadas a partir de la creación del Programa Mais Educação en 2007, aunque sus funciones y atribuciones en el ámbito de los proyectos y en la articulación con las escuelas no estén claramente definidas. Además de un perfil de formación precario, los monitores enfrentan dificultades en lo que respecta a las condiciones de trabajo, carga horaria y contrato laboral.O artigo tem como objetivo realizar um levantamento sobre a atuação dos monitores nas experiências de educação em tempo integral, em âmbito nacional, nos últimos dez anos. O estudo é de natureza qualitativa, utilizando os procedimentos metodológicos do Estado da Questão, com uso dos descritores “educação integral”, “escola de tempo integral”, “monitor”, “monitoria”, de modo isolado ou combinado. Trabalhando com artigos publicados no Portal de Periódicos da CAPES, identificaram-se sete artigos revisados por pares, sendo que a maioria trata de experiências relacionadas ao Programa Mais Educação. As constatações mostram que esse novo sujeito adentra o ambiente educacional por meio das experiências de ampliação de jornada escolar, implementadas a partir da criação do Programa Mais Educação em 2007, embora suas funções e atribuições no escopo dos projetos e na articulação com as escolas não estejam claramente definidos.
