Resumo: | The study aimed to investigate how students' perceptions are manifested about the professional practice of a physical education teacher with a physical disability. This is a qualitative study in which 4 students participated, accompanied by the teacher in personal trainer activity. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were carried out. For data analysis, four categories were constructed, namely: capacitism; aesthetics, body and standardization; prejudice and stigma and architectural accessibility. As a result, it was possible to identify the presence of prejudice manifested through the students' positions on the relationship between body and efficiency. It is also observed that the valuation of the Physical Education professional's body still carries the stereotyped thought of an aesthetically standardized body. Aspects related to stigma and prejudice can be identified in statements that claim that the profession of personal trainer for people with physical disabilities is thoughtless or goes beyond the concept of normality. The study concludes that the students' perceptions about the professional performance of the personal trainer are evidence of capacitating aspects and are loaded with stigma and prejudice. |

Se trata de un estudio cualitativo en el que participaron 4 alumnos, acompañados del profesor en actividad de entrenador personal. Para la recolección de datos se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas. Para el análisis de los datos se construyeron cuatro categorías, a saber: capacitismo; estética, cuerpo y estandarización; prejuicio y estigma y accesibilidad arquitectónica. Como resultado, fue posible identificar la presencia de prejuicios manifestados a través de las posiciones de los estudiantes sobre la relación entre cuerpo y eficiencia. También se observa que la valoración del cuerpo del profesional de la Educación Física todavía lleva el pensamiento estereotipado de un cuerpo estéticamente estandarizado. Se pueden identificar aspectos relacionados con el estigma y el prejuicio en declaraciones que afirman que la profesión de entrenador personal para personas con discapacidad física es irreflexiva o va más allá del concepto de normalidad. El estudio concluye que las percepciones de los estudiantes sobre el desempeño profesional del entrenador personal evidencian aspectos capacitadores y están cargadas de estigma y prejuicio.O estudo objetivou investigar as percepções dos alunos sobre a prática profissional de uma professora de Educação Física com deficiência física. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo no qual participaram 4 alunos acompanhados pela professora em atividade de personal trainner. Para coleta de dados, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas. Para análise dos dados, foram construídas quatro categorias, sendo elas: capacitismo; estética, corpo e padronização; preconceito e estigma e acessibilidade arquitetônica. Como resultados foi possível identificar a presença de preconceito manifestado por meio de posicionamentos dos alunos sobre a relação corpo e eficiência. Observa-se também que a valorização do corpo do profissional de Educação Física ainda carrega o pensamento estereotipado de um corpo esteticamente padronizado. Aspectos relacionados ao estigma e preconceito podem ser identificado em falas que afirmam que a profissão de personal trainner para pessoas com deficiência física é impensada ou foge à concepção de normalidade.
