Ensino-aprendizagem de ecologia numa perspectiva investigativa em fragmento de mata atlântica na cidade de Paulista-PE

Resumo: The general objective of this work was to analyze the teaching-learning of Ecology using a fragment of Atlantic Forest as a learning space and teaching by research as an active methodology. The research can be classified as participant and quanti-qualitative in nature. The local forest fragment of study was the Mata de Jaguarana, an urban forest reserve located in the municipality of Paulista/PE. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the teaching-learning process was hybrid, with remote and face-to-face moments. The investigative activity was carried out by students from a third grade class of the Custódio Pessoa public school located near the mentioned ecosystem. They were asked to answer the question "What social and environmental issues exist in the Jaguarana Forest? To do so, they carried out several investigative activities from researching and discussing texts related to the analyzed environment, building hypotheses, studying the forest in loco, explaining the observed socio-environmental reality pointing out causes and proposing solutions, writing and delivering an open letter to the Municipal Secretary of Environment to the presentation of the data and information built from the investigative activity to the school community through an online seminar. We can affirm that the students solved the problem situation in an active and protagonist way, strengthening their socioenvironmental competence and their performance as citizens. They also advanced in the scientific literacy process by strengthening skills such as critical observation, reading, explanation, discussion, and communication of data or information. We understand that the development of procedures from the active methodology used was as important to the teaching and learning process of Ecology as the approach of attitudes and values, since we found that students developed more interest, curiosity, creativity, motivation and teamwork with the implementation of the proposal. From this work, an educational guide called "Environmental Detective" was created, which can be used as a didactic resource by other teachers as an innovative tool in Ecology classes.

A pesquisa pode ser classificada como participante e de natureza quanti-qualitativa. O fragmento florestal local de estudo foi a Mata de Jaguarana, uma reserva de floresta urbana localizada no município de Paulista/PE. Em virtude da pandemia da Covid- 19 o processo de ensino-aprendizagem aconteceu de forma híbrida, com momentos remotos e presenciais. A atividade investigativa foi realizada por estudantes de uma turma do terceiro ano do ensino médio da escola pública Custódio Pessoa localizada próxima ao referido ecossistema. Eles foram provocados a responder a situação-problema “Quais as problemáticas socioambientais existentes na Mata de Jaguarana?”. Para tanto, realizaram diversas atividades de cunho investigativo desde a pesquisa e discussão textos relativos ao ambiente analisado, construção de hipóteses, estudo in loco na mata, explicação sobre a realidade socioambiental observada apontando causas e propondo soluções, elaboração e entrega de uma carta aberta à Secretaria Municipal do Meio Ambiente até a apresentação para a comunidade escolar por meio de seminário on-line dos dados e informações construídas a partir da atividade investigativa. Podemos afirmar que os estudantes resolveram a situação problema de maneira ativa e protagonista, fortaleceram sua competência socioambiental e sua atuação como cidadãos. Também avançaram no processo de alfabetização científica a partir do fortalecimento de habilidades como observação crítica, leitura, explicação, discussão e comunicação de dados ou informações. Compreendemos que o desenvolvimento de procedimentos a partir da metodologia ativa utilizada foi tão importante ao processo de ensino e de aprendizagem de Ecologia quanto a abordagem de atitudes e valores uma vez que verificamos que os estudantes desenvolveram mais interesse, curiosidade, criatividade, motivação e trabalho em equipe com a execução da proposta.
