Studies on managerial competence developed by professors of the Federal Institute of Acre during the Covid-19 pandemic in the perception of professors

Resumo: | This present research paper is about the functionality of college professors within the Federal University of Acre (IFAC), located on the state of Rio Branco. Within said study, it is questioned what management capabilities the professors have, in order to make their occupations functional in a overall capacity, during the Covid-19 outbreak, besides the mapping of said capabilities. In order to obtain these answers the Quinn et al. model was used, as a base of analysis, in which said model is composed of twenty-four management capacities and they're conceptualized and classified in eight management purposes. The main goal is to analyse the management capabilities of college professors of many different majors within IFAC, of campus Rio Branco, in accordance to the Quinn model. The base of analysis prioritizes quantity, while the collection of data was made through questionnaires and the results were observed through the pizza graphic and radar. The subject was picked for there wasn't any research within this field on the campus of Rio Branco, as such it is noted the need to apply this to the professors. The goal was to potentialize the fields of administration, education and general management. The acquired results have awaken within the professors abilities such as innovative, productive, leading, monitoring, mentorship, with emphasis on coordination, in the modal of internal process and unbalance when it comes to negotiating profiles, in the modal of open systems. In that regard, it was shown as relevant to qualify the professors within the Covid-19 outbreak. |

Nesse estudo, faz-se o questionamento sobre quais são as competências gerenciais percebidas nos professores para a execução das funções docentes, durante a pandemia de Covid-19, além do mapeamento dessas capacidades constatadas. Então, utilizou-se o modelo de Quinn et al. como base de análise, esse modelo se define em vinte e quatro competências gerenciais, conceituando-as e classificando-as em oito papéis gerenciais. O objetivo é analisar as competências gerenciais dos professores de graduação de diversos cursos no IFAC campus Rio Branco, em conformidade com o modelo de Quinn. A abordagem é quantitativa com a coleta de dados realizada por meio de questionário, observando os resultados pelos gráficos de pizza e radar. A escolha do tema revela-se por não haver uma pesquisa nesse ramo no campus Rio Branco, logo nota-se a necessidade de aplicar aos professores. Buscou-se potencializar os campos de conhecimentos da Administração, Educação e Gestão. O resultado alcançado despertou nos docentes habilidades de inovador, produtor, diretor, monitor, facilitador, mentor, com maior ênfase em coordenador, no modelo de processos internos e desequilíbrio no perfil negociador, no modelo de sistemas abertos.
