The panorama of closure and nucleation of rural schools in the municipality of Pitanga/PR between 1995 and 2020

Resumo: The article presents the results of a master's degree research in education whose main objective is to analyze the closure and nucleation of rural schools in the municipality of Pitanga, located in the state of Paraná. The research was carried out using a qualitative and documentary approach, with the aim of understanding the historical process of closing rural schools between the years 1995 and 2020. The period of analysis was established after the independence of the last municipality that dismembered from Pitanga. To obtain information about schools closed during this specific period, documentary research was carried out at the Department of Education. As for the methodology, it is a qualitative research, while in relation to the objectives, it can be classified as exploratory, and in terms of technical procedures, it is characterized as bibliographic. In this study, we seek to establish a discussion about the relationship between the closure and nucleation of schools, which has become a consolidated trend in several municipalities in Paraná. The data obtained indicates that the trend of school closures in the municipality of Pitanga is continuous, with more than 80 rural schools having closed in just over two decades. The Education Guidelines and Bases Law – LSB 9.394/96 and the Rural Education Curricular Guidelines (2006) were used as guiding documents. Among the main authors are: Caldart (2012), Hage (2014), Paula (2015) and Vasconcellos (1993).

La investigación se realizó mediante un enfoque cualitativo y documental, con el objetivo de comprender el proceso histórico de cierre de escuelas rurales entre los años 1995 y 2020. El período de análisis se estableció luego de la independencia del último municipio que se desmembró de Pitanga. Para obtener información sobre las escuelas cerradas durante este período específico, se realizó una investigación documental en el Departamento de Educación. En cuanto a la metodología, se trata de una investigación cualitativa, mientras que en relación a los objetivos se puede catalogar como exploratoria, y en cuanto a los procedimientos técnicos, se caracteriza como bibliográfica. En este estudio buscamos establecer una discusión sobre la relación entre el cierre y la nucleación de escuelas, que se ha convertido en una tendencia consolidada en varios municipios de Paraná. Los datos obtenidos indican que la tendencia de cierre de escuelas en el municipio de Pitanga es continua, habiéndose cerrado más de 80 escuelas rurales en poco más de dos décadas. Se utilizaron como documentos rectores la Ley de Normas y Bases de la Educación – LSB 9.394/96 y las Normas Curriculares de la Educación Rural (2006). Entre los principales autores se encuentran: Caldart (2012), Hage (2014), Paula (2015) y Vasconcellos (1993).O artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa de mestrado em educação cujo principal objetivo é analisar o fechamento e a nucleação das escolas do campo no município de Pitanga, localizado no estado do Paraná. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de abordagem qualitativa e documental, com o intuito de compreender o processo histórico de fechamento das escolas do campo entre os anos de 1995 e 2020. O período de análise foi estabelecido a partir da independência do último município que se desmembrou de Pitanga. Para obter informações sobre as escolas fechadas nesse período específico, foram realizadas pesquisas documentais na Secretaria de Educação. Quanto à metodologia, trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, enquanto que em relação aos objetivos, pode ser classificado como exploratória, e em termos de procedimentos técnicos, caracterizando-se como bibliográfico. Neste estudo, busca-se estabelecer uma discussão acerca da relação entre o fechamento e a nucleação de escolas, que se torna uma tendência consolidada em diversos municípios do Paraná. Os dados obtidos indicam que a tendência de fechamento de escolas no município de Pitanga é contínua, sendo fechadas mais de 80 escolas do campo em pouco mais de duas décadas. Foram utilizados como documentos norteadores a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação – LDB 9.394/96 e as Diretrizes Curriculares da Educação do Campo (2006).
