THE SIMULATED COMPANY: AN ALTERNATIVE STRATEGY FOR TEACHING BUSINESS

Resumo: The organizations are inserted in a context of great competitiveness and of fast changes, involving, therefore, the ability in working with great and complex subjects. The courses in Administration suffer with the shortage of practical classes that would make possible a better understanding of the relationship between the theory and the reality of the market. In this context, the development of methodological strategies that space besides the traditional teaching contributed to the appearance of a teaching methodology based in the living practice, that is the Simulated Company. The main objective of a simulation is to provide to the participant a real situation so that it can make decisions before the problems that appear in elapsing of the operation and like this, to feel the consequences of their actions. Given to the relevance of the living practice for the teaching in Administration, the objective of this work was to analyze and to describe the model SEBRAE of Simulate Company through the understanding of your structure and operation as well as the students' perception in relation to your effectiveness. Data was gathered by questionnaires and interviews with a sample with the different segments involved in the project. As a result, the investigation corroborated the effectiveness of this model as a teaching method and its contributions for the business courses learning processes. The variables yielded decent results ensuring the importance of the simulated company method for the qualification of future professionals.

Os cursos de Administração sofrem com a escassez de aulas práticas que possibilitaria um entendimento melhor da relação entre a teoria e a realidade do mercado. Neste contexto, o desenvolvimento de estratégias metodológicas que vão além do ensino tradicional contribuiu para o surgimento de uma metodologia de ensino baseada na aprendizagem vivencial, que é a Empresa Simulada. A finalidade de uma simulação é proporcionar ao participante uma situação real para que possa tomar decisões diante dos problemas que surgem no decorrer da operação e assim, sentir as conseqüências de suas ações. Dada à relevância da prática vivencial para o ensino em Administração, o objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar e descrever o modelo SEBRAE de Empresa Simulada através da compreensão de sua estrutura e funcionamento bem como a percepção dos alunos em relação à sua efetividade. Os dados foram obtidos por meio da aplicação de questionários e entrevistas aos diferentes segmentos envolvidos no projeto. Como resultado verificou-se a eficácia do modelo e a contribuição deste método de ensino no processo de aprendizagem dos cursos técnicos de administração.
