Resumo: | This article presents a research about the investment, control, monitoring and social audit of public resources to education from the Goiás state between 2000 and 2017. We used the Marxian Theory by means of the methods of investigation and exposure using historical materialism-dialectic to analyze the financing of education from its real movement, that goes beyond its pseudo realization, depleting its determination to, then, reveal its real concreteness. For such, several qualitative and quantitative research techniques were used, among them, the critical analysis of the reports of the municipal governments accounts, prepared by the Court of Accounts of the State of Goiás, of the relevant laws, academic literature, data about the financing of state education and database. It was concluded, among other aspects, that the governments practiced various deviations, irregularities and illegalities which had as an effect the loss of R$ 6,5 billion for education. |

Utilizou-se a Teoria marxiana por meio dos métodos de investigação e de exposição, recorrendo-se ao materialismo histórico-dialético para analisar o financiamento da educação a partir do seu movimento real, que vai além da sua pseudoconcreticidade, esgotando as suas determinações, para, então, revelar sua real concreticidade. Para tanto, foram utilizadas as mais variadas técnicas de pesquisa qualitativa e quantitativa, dentre elas, a análise crítica dos pareceres e dos relatórios das contas dos governos, elaborados pelo Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Goiás, das legislações pertinentes, da literatura acadêmica, dados acerca do financiamento da educação estadual e banco de dados.
