Professional teaching value based on working conditions in the public position: Brazil and Chile case study

Resumo: Valuing teachers and employment conditions in Brazil and Chile are the object of study of this research. In this article, it is intended to expose the specificities of each country and the possible approaches, using the analysis of the legislation of both, as well as the bibliography that the theme proposes. It is noticed that the two nations have valuation mechanisms, however, the difference that arises in the perspective of this study is that the Chilean educational system is central, and in the Brazilian case, the federative system decentralizes such guidelines. Therefore, it is pointed out that in these nations the sanitary condition imposed by the pandemic times deepens the limits and weaknesses already placed in the teaching career.

En este artículo se pretende exponer las especificidades de cada país y los posibles enfoques, utilizando el análisis de la legislación de ambos, así como la bibliografía que propone el tema. Se notó que las dos naciones cuentan con mecanismos de valoración, sin embargo, la diferencia que surge en la perspectiva de este estudio se centra en el hecho de que el sistema educativo chileno es central y, en el caso brasileño, el sistema federativo descentraliza dichos lineamientos. Por ello, se señaló que, en estas naciones, la condición sanitaria impuesta por la pandemia profundiza los límites y debilidades ya colocadas en la carrera docente.A valorização docente e as condições de emprego no Brasil e no Chile apresentam-se como objeto de estudo desta pesquisa. No presente artigo, pretende-se expor as especificidades de cada país e as aproximações possíveis, utilizando a análise da legislação de ambos, bem como a bibliografia a que o tema se propõe. Percebe-se que as duas nações possuem mecanismos de valorização, no entanto, a diferença que se põe na perspectiva deste estudo incide no fato de o sistema educacional chileno ser central e, no caso brasileiro, o sistema federativo descentraliza tais diretrizes.
