Resumo: | Edgar Morin's work About aesthetics is organized into eight chapters. The theme addressed throughout the 125 pages of the book is aesthetics or aesthetic emotion/feeling. Defined as an integral component of human sensitivity, aesthetics can, according to the author, turn to both art and nature, or refer to aspects of everyday life, or even the imagination, through the combination of colors. , sounds, narratives, and other forms of arrangements. Morin points out that we have the ability to aestheticize works that are not specifically intended for aesthetic purposes. The text composes a consistent writing and full of examples that point to the importance given by the author to aesthetics in human formation. The work is particularly recommended for educators interested in producing a pedagogical metamorphosis.
