Resumo: | The concept of preceptor refers to the ability to integrate teaching and work, supporting the professional in training in developing feasible strategies to solve everyday health care problems. In the context of Social Work in a Multiprofessional Health Residency Program (RMS), this activity is related to the professional commitment assumed with the quality of services provided to the population and with intellectual improvement, from the perspectiveof professional competence and teamwork. The activity of preceptorship requires the use of methodologies and instruments that facilitate the conduct of the learning process with a focus on the resident. The objective of this article was to report on the experience of conducting the preceptorship work process for resident social workers inserted in a multidisciplinary Intensive Care team at a University Hospital. Challenges related to the pedagogical training of preceptors to act in accordance with the principles established by the RMS Program, to the work overload and to the need for an education model that translates into teaching-learning methodologies based on the resident’s experiences as the center of the process, overcomingthe verticalized model of banking education, were perceived in the experience. Preceptorship at RMS, at the same time as it translates into challenges for the social worker, reflectspossibilities of continuously carrying out permanent education, problematizing practice and reflecting-acting on crucial issues for the professional’s growth and interprofessional collaborative practice, which qualifies the teamwork and promotes improvements in health care forusers in the Unified Health System. |
