Resumo: | The Permanent Education in Health is an ethical-political-pedagogical proposal that aims at the transformation and qualification of health care, training processes and health education practices, in addition to encouraging intersectoriality. This study aimed to implement the Permanent Health Education Center (NEPS) in the Health Care network of a municipality in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. Specifically, it sought to evaluate the opinion of professionals about the NEPS. It was an experience report from the research carried out during the Master’s in Teaching in Health, in which instruments such as a field diary and focus group were used to produce data, which were later analyzed based on Bardin’s Content Analysis. As categories resulting from this analysis, based on the objectives of the study and the theoretical framework, the following stand out: EPS and continuing education: need for conceptual and political understanding; NEPS Dom Pedrito: between limits and possibilities, what was possible to (un)learn. Often, EPS is seen as a secondary action, and at this point the importance of NEPS is highlighted, as an inducer of reflective practices on work processes, qualification of services and minimization of injuries and increasing the quality of life of users. NEPS provided collaborative work among professionals, who were able to take into their daily lives what they reflected and learned during the activities. Knowing the health conditions of each location allows professionals to reflect on their practices and whether this scenario meets the needs of the population. |
